About
Designing ubiquitous applications requires knowledge of many research fields. Therefore, in this workshop, we aim at leveraging the different viewpoints of participants to gain new insights in the field of sensing and acting in ubiquitous environments.
We expect papers from a broad range of participants. However, we also want to encourage PhD students and young researchers to present their current research at the workshop and get in touch with others who work in the same area.
Since the ubiquitous research domain spans many diverse research fields, we especially aim at bringing together the different individual ideas and perspectives to facilitate cross-pollination of research areas.
The workshop focuses on the generation and processing of context information in ubiquitous environments. These are aspects of pervasive computing, which is also in the scope of the main conference. However, conference talks leave little room for interaction. With our workshop, we intend to provide a stage for interesting presentations and foster discussion. The idea is to give participants the opportunity to receive feedback on their work which will stimulate their research.
